CSLEPS, in partnership with Stop Hunger Now, hosted the annual Service NC State Meal Packaging Event Friday. Wolfpack students, faculty, staff and community members work together in the interactive service event to pack meals to be sent around the globe.
Over 200 volunteers took on this year’s goal of 75,000 meals. The effort aims to fight hunger and raise awareness.
“I am extremely proud of all the individuals who came together to plan, implement, and reflect on the event,” says Nathan Thomas, committee chair. “We owe a huge thank you to our sponsors for contributing their resources as well.”
Volunteers exceeded the 75K goal, packaging a total of 80,000 meals.Share this post
