Hunger and Homelessness

Join us for a powerful 4-day trip to the nation’s capital where we will see the sights, serve the hungry, and participate in social action. This fall break trip is a Leadership and Civic Engagement partnership with the Office of International Services to provide a service and cultural opportunity for NC State international students as well as our domestic students.

Opportunities include:

  • Service projects oriented around homelessness and hunger. Will be partnering with the Steinbruck Center
  • Trip dates: October 9-13, 2019 (Team will leave the evening of the 9th)
  • 30 Spaces
  • Cost: $375
  • Trip cost covers transportation, housing, and meals in D.C.

International Students

The Office of International Services expects to award 10 scholarships of $125 each to help defray the costs of participating in the Fall ASB program.  OIS partners with Leadership and Civic Engagement and supports the ASB by offering partial scholarships to eligible international students and promoting ASB and other Leadership and Civic Engagement programs. Students must apply for the trip through Leadership and Civic Engagement and will be selected by OIS staff after the application phase.
