The application period for Leader of the Pack 2016 has officially opened. Presented by the Center for Student Leadership, Ethics and Public Service; the Leader of the Pack program was established to recognize NC State students who have made outstanding contributions in the areas of leadership, scholarship and community service.
Applications for this year’s Leader of the Pack will be accepted through September 12 at go.ncsu.edu/lop2016. Undergraduate students who have completed two semesters at NC State and hold a cumulative grade-point average of 2.5 or higher are invited to apply.
Leader of the Pack finalists will participate in the NC State Homecoming parade, receive three (3) tickets to the homecoming football game versus Boston College and be recognized during halftime when one finalist will be named ‘The Leader of the Pack’.
The Leader of the Pack winner will be selected based on a cumulative score of several application process phases: student body vote, personal interview, co-curricular activities, written essay on their leadership and service to the community, and grade-point average.
The student finalist with the highest GPA will receive a $250 NC State Bookstore award. The Leader of the Pack winner will receive a $2,000 university scholarship. For more information about Leader of the Pack and past recipients, visit csleps.dasa.ncsu.edu/leader-of-the-pack/Share this post
